THE ANSWERS

What To Know Before You Go

Policies

Why do you require a credit card to book an appointment?

The card used to book the appointment is safely kept on file for No Show Protection. Your card will not be charged until after your service is completed unless

you are:

  •  Late -50% charge of service(s) that can be used as a voucher for your rescheduled appointment

  • No Show -100% charge of service(s) without possibility of voucher

I understand sometimes things happen unexpectedly that take priority over an appointment. I will always do my best to work with you as long as you are as communicative as possible at that time.

What if I am running late?

If you are running late to your appointment you will still be able to receive your service as long as you are within 10 minutes from your scheduled appointment time.

Once you have reached the 11 minute mark your appointment will need to be rescheduled. This is never done as a punishment--the late policy is in place to ensure that all guests are able to be seen in a timely manner.

The card on file will be charged 50% of the total service(s) price and can be applied to your rescheduled appointment. I will always try to accommodate you which is why communication is key.

I need to cancel my appointment...

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment you have up until 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations that occur within 24 hours of your appointment time will result in a 100% charge of scheduled service(s) without the possibility of being used as a voucher.

Rescheduling an appointment within 24 hours of your appointment time will result in a 50% charge that will be applied as a voucher to your new appointment.

What would happen if I didn't show up?

Attempts to contact you will be done at the 10 minute mark and the 15 minute mark. After that, if there has been no communication the appointment will be marked as a No Show.

You will be charged 100% of your total service(s) price. This charge cannot be applied to a new appointment.

How long does my hair need to be?

For the best results your hair needs to be at least 1/4" to 1/2" long. For most people this means waiting 2-4 weeks (minimum 2 weeks) from the last time you shaved.

Keep in mind that not all of your hair is growing at the exact same rate. Hard Wax works great at getting tiny hair, but if it has only been a week and you see some long hairs but some short hairs as well--wait.

I always tweeze any stubborn hairs at the end, but unless all of the hair is long enough I cannot guarantee your results.

What do I need to do before my wax?

Two days before:

Exfoliate the area you are getting waxed. By clearing any excess skin surrounding your hair follicles, it loosens hairs that may be trapped between the middle layer of skin (where follicles reside) and the outermost layer.

Day of:

Make sure to keep your skin thoroughly clean, but avoid using any greasy or heavy lotions and oils. Having moisturized skin is important, but too much moisture can negatively affect the service.

Note:

Do not feel obligated to shower immediately before your appointment. It is not necessary and hot water could potentially make your skin more sensitive during your service. I always cleanse your skin before I begin waxing, but if you feel the need to refresh yourself I have feminine wipes available for you.

Can I still get waxed on my period?

You can absolutely get waxed on your period. You will need to wear a tampon during your Brazilian or Bikini service, but other than that it will be business as usual.

Keep in mind that getting waxed while on your period you may be more sensitive.

Taking an OTC anti-inflammatory/pain reliever 30 minutes prior to your appointment might help ease any unnecessary discomfort.

How often do I need to get waxed?

How often you get waxed is slightly dependent on the service area, but it is recommended that you wax every 3-4 weeks for the best results.

Staying on a consistent wax schedule will allow your growth cycles to align. When the growth cycles are in alignment you will notice far less regrowth as well as less potential discomfort during the service.
